The EPILEPSY SOCIETY of Kern County, Inc. was formed on May 12, 1954, after fifteen individuals met in the home of Georgia Johnson. The agency celebrated its 50th anniversary during National Awareness Month, November 2004. The agency continues to celebrate each year with its annual Candlelight Memories Dinner and Silent Auction.
The Epilepsy Society is an affiliate of The United Way of Kern County and is a member of The Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce.
